Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Hotel Transfer
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our dedicated team from Hermosa Life Tours and Travel will warmly welcome you. After assisting with customs, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kigali. Take some time to relax and enjoy the hotel amenities before having dinner and overnight stay at the booked hotel
Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, home to the Big 5. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes and hills of Rwanda along the way. Experience an en-route game drive, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, and lions. Upon reaching the lodge, check-in, have lunch, and relax. In the evening, embark on a thrilling night game drive to observe nocturnal wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Akagera National Park Experiences
Start your day with breakfast before setting off for a full day of exploration in Akagera National Park. Visit the giraffe area in the south and drive along the lakes road towards Birengero. Encounter a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the designated area and embark on a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you can observe hippos and various bird species. Return to Kigali, capturing beautiful sunset views along the way.
Day 4: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Kigali. Visit the Genocide Memorial Center to learn about Rwanda’s history, explore the local markets in Kimironko, and witness the vibrant daily activities of the Rwandan people. Afterward, continue your journey south to Nyungwe National Park. Along the way, visit the King’s Palace at Nyanza and enjoy a delicious lunch. Upon arrival at your hotel in Nyungwe National Park, check-in, and relax. Spend the evening at leisure, taking advantage of the lodge’s amenities before dinner.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk Adventure
Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking experience in Nyungwe National Park. Listen for the calls of these incredible primates as you hike through the forest in search of their communities. Keep an eye out for migratory birdlife along the way. After lunch at the lodge, embark on a thrilling canopy walk adventure for a unique perspective of the forest. Return to the lodge for relaxation and enjoy the property’s amenities. In the evening, unwind at the lodge until dinner.
Day 6: Tea Plantation Experience and Departure
After an early breakfast, embark on a fascinating tea plantation experience, engaging with local communities and learning about their traditions. Return to the hotel for check-out and drive back to Kigali. Before your departure, take some time for souvenir shopping.
