Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi

Your remarkable 3-day adventure starts when you arrive at the Entebbe International Airport. Here, your driver guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring experience.

Our journey takes us southward to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a place of profound natural beauty and the home to the world’s last surviving mountain gorillas.

The drive, though lasting 8-9 hours, is an adventure in itself, weaving through picturesque countryside landscapes. Expect captivating views of rolling hills, lush plantations, and the mighty Virunga Massif. Keep your camera close, as your experienced driver will gladly stop-over for those unforgettable snapshots.

During the journey, you’ll make a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe. Here, you’ll indulge in a simple yet fascinating experiment as you capture the equator experience moments with your camera. Make another stop in Mbarara city for a refreshing lunch.

In the tranquil evening, you will reach your destination in the heart of Bwindi National Park. Here, you’ll find respite in a cozy lodge, where the night’s embrace awaits you. As the sun sets over this enchanting wilderness, take a moment to unwind and prepare for the remarkable experience of the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park

Rise early and eat an early breakfast before embarking on a thrilling adventure. Your guide will drive you to Ruhija Park Headquarters for a briefing, where you’ll join other travelers in preparation for your gorilla trek.

Venture into the lush forest, embarking on a journey that could last from 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla family’s location that day. Once you encounter these majestic creatures, you’ll have a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend an hour with them, observing their captivating behavior and capturing photographs.

With memories etched in your heart and a certificate to commemorate your gorilla tracking experience, you’ll return to the lodge to spend another night in Bwindi.

 

Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe – A Farewell to Uganda

After a heavy breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi’s enchanting ambience. We’ll drive you back to Kampala or Entebbe to catch your flight back to your home.

As we retrace our steps, we’ll pause once again at the Equator crossing for a final opportunity to capture cherished moments, purchase souvenirs, or simply relax. Your journey concludes with fond memories and a deeper connection to the heart of Uganda.
