Detailed Tour

Day 1: Early Pick Up from Kigali and Transfer to Akagera National Park – Boat Cruise

On the first day, your driver-guide will meet you at the airport or your hotel in Kigali. From there, you will embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Akagera National Park, with planned stopovers along the way. Upon arrival, you will check-in at your safari accommodation and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a sunset boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you can spot hippos and crocodiles. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Safari Game Drive in Akagera National Park – Return to Kigali

The second day starts with an early breakfast before heading out for a full-day safari game drive in Akagera National Park. This game drive offers an opportunity to encounter diverse wildlife, including the Big Five mammals (lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and leopard), as well as antelopes, kobs, and baboons. You will have the option to order a packed lunch to enjoy during the game drive. In the afternoon, you will transfer back to Kigali and check-in at your hotel. The evening is free for you to have dinner and rest.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trek in Volcanoes National Park – Departure

On the final day of the tour, after breakfast, you will depart for Volcanoes National Park. Here, you will embark on an exciting golden monkey trekking adventure. During the trek, you will have the opportunity to observe these unique primates in their natural habitat. After the golden monkey trek, you will return to Kigali for departure or further arrangements.
